Dental tourism logistics in Sao Paulo: airports, hotels and getting around

Dr. Hugo Robertson·October 28, 2026·1 min read

Quick answer: most international patients land at Guarulhos (GRU). Domestic flights often use Congonhas (CGH), which is close to Vila Mariana. The clinic is at Rua Domingos de Morais, 725, a few minutes walk from Ana Rosa metro station, and there are hotels within walking distance.

Arriving

  • Guarulhos (GRU): the main international airport. Taxi or ride apps take you to Vila Mariana; travel time depends on traffic.
  • Congonhas (CGH): domestic airport, relatively close to the clinic.

Where to stay

Choose a hotel within walking distance of the clinic so you can attend follow-up visits without depending on cars. One option is the Transamerica Executive Nova Paulista, on Rua Vergueiro, which is a short walk away. Paulista Avenue and nearby neighborhoods also offer many hotels connected by metro.

Getting around

  • Metro: Ana Rosa station (lines 1 and 2) is close to the clinic.
  • Ride apps: widely available in Sao Paulo.

Tips for your stay

  • Bring a list of your medications.
  • Plan soft foods for the first days after surgery.
  • Leave some flexibility in your return date.
